Methodist Hospital Northeast offers a full array of services including emergency care, open heart surgery, cardiac catheterizations, neurosurgery, inpatient rehabilitation, orthopedic surgery, cancer care, intensive care and inpatient and outpatient surgeries and procedures. The hospital is an accredited chest pain center and recently received Joint Commission certification as a stroke center.

Health Bus is a free transportation program available to residents living in certain zip code to Methodist Hospital Northeast, any of its facilities, and to doctors on the medical staff at Methodist Hospital Northeast.

How to Schedule a Ride:

Schedule your ride at least 48 hours in advance of your appointment or scheduled admission. Rides are subject to availability, so once you begin planning your next appointment, give us a call so we can work with you and your doctor to schedule your appointment at a time when we can meet your needs.

To schedule a ride, please call 210-MHS-RIDE (210-647-7433) at least 48 hours in advance of your appointment or scheduled admission, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Have the following information ready when you call to schedule:

  • Doctor’s name, phone number and address
  • For pre-scheduled appointments, have the date and time of your appointment

Be ready 30 minutes ahead of your scheduled pickup time on the day of your appointment. The Health Bus will pick you up as close to your front door as possible. Patients needing additional assistance should plan to bring a companion. Call 210-MHS-RIDE to have the Help Bus pick you up once your appointment is over.

Advanced Procedures for Heartburn

With millions of Americans suffering from chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease (more commonly known as heartburn), Methodist Hospital Northeast offers the most advanced procedures to diagnose the disorder. The bravo test is a non-invasive procedure consisting of a small capsule that is temporarily attached to the esophagus. The results from this quick and easy diagnostic test reveal what’s causing the reflux and treatment options based on severity.

Community Outreach

Methodist Hospital Northeast takes pride in its community outreach efforts which include various fundraising endeavors for nonprofit organizations that serve the Randolph Metrocom area of Bexar County. Methodist Hospital Northeast is an annual sponsor of the Greater Randolph Area Partners in Education Foundation Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the tournament help provide emergency funds to children in need of medical care including eye exams, glasses, prescription medication, clothing and shoes. The program helps children in the Judson Independent School District and the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District.
